I beg to differ...

That's so Emo... or is it?!?!

This site is pretty freakin' awesome. History of REAL Emo (i.e., the stuff derived from hardcore punk in the mid-80's), and with freaking mp3 examples! Always wanted to know what Rites of Spring sounded like... and, I've gotta say, me likey...

Fourfa is basically the faq on the history of this stuff. Showed me the above site. And, funny enough, I found it by typing "emo" into google. LOL. Interesting stuff, plus it's got a piratebay-ish feedback/hatemail part I found relatively humourous at 1am.

But yeah. That's about enough of that. You guys probably aren't interested in this junk anyways.

Until next time, I guess...

Edit - Okay, so I youtube'd Sunny Day Real Estate, as I've never heard 'em before. Considering that they're regarded as the most-influential modern-emo band, I thought, oh yeah they're gonna be good... but I DARE you to tell me that this isn't freaking awesome:

Edit, past 2am - Wikipedia is freakin' awesome. As it turns out, half of SDRE were original members of the Foo Fighters. Makes me think that you guys already know all this stuff... heheh... And now it's past 2am, and I've got work in about 5 hours. Perfect...

Motel

I WANNA SEE THIS MOVIE

...yeah, that's enough of that. Can't find a theatre that plays it... stupid everything...

Also, the protector looks good, although I've already seen the capoeira fight scene... and Azumi looks good... and Man of the Year looks completely awesome... dang you apple trailers and your making me wanna watch a crapload of movies!!!

But on another note... I shall reiterate, anyone up for the Rancid/Aquabats show??

Until next time, I guess...

Edit, 3am - Blasted school-drama animes... stayed up watching Okusama wa Joshikousei on youtube. SOOO GOOOD. Although, the frequent fanservice is rather annoying (distracts/detracts from the story), but once you get past that, superb. Hilarious at times, moving in others... SOOO GOOOD. But, what's the story about, you say?? The title basically means "my wife is a schoolgirl", or something to that effect. Pretty obvious what the story is, heheh. But yeah. SOOO GOOOD. Said it thrice 'cause it's extra nice... LOL.

Yeah, I've past the point of crazytalk Nits, as you can probably tell. Heheh. Sleeeeeeeeep...

Edit, 3:30am - Yeah, watched another episode... and, also, forgot to mention went to nightmarket again tonight! W/ Kirsten & my sister Shaylene. And, I've gotta say, time really flies out at the nightmarket. It was like, haha yeah it's ten you gu---uuys [whoa it's actually ten!]. LOL. But yeah, didn't buy anything, well except food of course, heheh. Most delicious lamb I've ever had in my life! Plus, we bought that UFO shaved ice thingy (we got mango), and DANG it was delicious! Apparently, it's like a Halo Halo, heheh... but yes... twenty to 4 right now... sleep time = me...

GAH, stupid school-drama anime... sucking me in...

Randomness

Worked 11.5 hrs today. Tiring, yes. Didn't bring enough food either, so I had to buy mr. noodles and a rits bits sandwiches (cheese filled) for dinner break at 4. But yeah, not terribly exciting I guess. Closing stretches... dang I need to get my head into school gear already...

Oh hey, found something out: freaking AQUABATS are coming to town!!! That's awesome!!! Ohhh, and they're opening for Rancid, btw... heheh... but, FRIGGIN' AQUABATS!!! I'd have to go on the thursday showing (sept. 28) and not the friday one, but, anyone else interested in going thursday?? Or, at all...?? Heheh...

Yup. Anyways, after work, went to church for praise team practice. Was on congas again, but the electric guitarist didn't make it, and since having congas and drums is kinda redundant, I asked if I might be able to fill in. So, yup, I'm most likely gonna be playing the Les Paul tomorrow at church. That's pretty cool... although, first time playing electric... lets just say that I'm not at the same level as the other guitarists, heheh... so yeah, get there early, figure out chordings/scale-picking, etc etc... and now I wants to by me a Les Paul of my own, they sound so nice...

Anyways, yes. It's actually almost one now. Meaning, I should sleep pretty soon, get like 8 hrs of sleep for once, heheh... but, we'll see... we'll seee....

Until next time, I guess...

Trippy

Went to Gibsons on a day trip today, to see my grandpa. No work today, so went w/ my mom & sister. Started off cloudy, turned to bright and sunny; the sunshine coast is incredibly picturesque.

Actually, last night I kinda stayed up 'til 2:30ish, as I kinda went guitar crazy, learning I Will Follow You Into The Dark (well, the non-capo'd chords, and somewhat-off strumming, but still), and that got me playing all those covers I learned like nearly 2 years ago when I first started playing... nostalgia = awesome, + staying up late. Heheh. But yeah, it started w/ watching all those youtube covers, then me thinking, hey, that could SO be me! ...dang my lack of a recording device!!

But yeah, the point is, I was SUPER tired today... slept for like a total of 2 hrs on the trip, listening on my newly-fixed mp3 player, like, 3 Death Cab for Cutie songs. VERY awesome band, esp. if you're already half asleep and want to be all mellowed out... also, it kinda reminded me of Coldplay, except less british and more, uh, soft-emo?? But yeah... I'm very much liking DCfC now...

Yeah, didn't stay there very long though. Caught the 9:30 ferry there, then caught the 3:30 ferry coming home. Then, we went to Bo Kong in richmond. DELICIOUSNESS. I mean, DANG, you can't freakin' tell the difference w/ their meat substitutes! I.e., their veggie HAM?! Craziness... although, as per usual, the fake-seafood certainly was the best. I HIGHLY recommend everyone to go there... well, except Shar... probably not the best for her, heh...

Anyways, yeah, decided not to go to the Minischool reunion dinner thing, as I went to the daytrip today. I think Kris is a little disappointed, but oh well... there's always next year, I suppose! Haha...

I guess that's about it. Heheh.

Until next time, I guess...

Edit - Okay... it's been a while, here's some more youtube magic!

LOL! Rather humourous, yes? Haha...

Cool Beans

Yeah, past couple days were pretty cool.

Yesterday, work, then figuring out all that MicroPhoto junk, then over to Andrew's, watched Magnolia (reuben there too). Movie was alright, kinda long, and in a word, ZOOM *hand flies over my head*. But yes, fun times w/ the hangings out.

Today, got to sleep in due to no work (lack of fish), then appointment @ athesma clinic in VGH, I was in the neighborhood so I called Alan up, we ate at Denny's (I had old man dinner food, "chopped" steak w/ mashed potatoes and stuffing lol), then went to the beach, walked around + threw the disc around, then back to his place, saw Tim there too for a bit, then home. Then, watched the first Ginger Snaps. Good movie, if a little female-ewwness. Also made myself salad. It was delicious. Yup.

Yeah, so my blog is stupidly boring, big whoop wanna fighta bout it? Heheh... man I don't remember where that's from...

...Oh hey, that's right, I never blogged about my weekend... I guess I was too lazy to blog about it before, lol... oh well, I got time now, hehe...

Saturday, photo-shoot thing for the CD cover. Some samples shown @ Valen's Blog. I'm liking that last pic the best. Watched spaceballs @ joey/esther's afterwards. Hi-larious movie, heheh...

Sunday, went to nightmarket. Girls shopping for jewelry = not so fun. But overall, quite enjoyable.

To summarize, this week so far = WAY better than last week. Yup.

...okay, so maybe I am a bit lazy. Lack of fleshings out and what not. Heheh.

Until next time, I guess...

Just Some Undergrads Quotes

Nitz thinking:
"Does your friend secretly have a crush on you? Absolutely not...absolutely not...absolutely hot...very, very hot...damn, she's hot!"

And then:
"Okay, I'm gonna make my move on three. Okay, move making is gonna happen in one... two......... two and a half...... three!"
(Jesse walking across the room)
Jesse: "Later Nitz."
Nitz: "Crap..."

---

Hahaha, Undergrads = so cool. And awesome...

Woo MicroPhoto!

Turns out that all I had to do was reinstall the firmware and it was fixed! Didn't know that I was able to do such a thing, heheh... I don't need no stinkin' warranty! Yeah!

Hilarious too... I hooked it up to the comp, got frustrated that it didn't work, and did the whole reboot-like-crazy thing, then boom this screen shows up with a bunch of options! I was like, WHOA! OPTIONS!!! I kinda went nuts and picked every one, which meant I kinda reformatted the harddrive, so all the previous songs etc are now gone. Whoops. But hey, now it works!! Wooo!

***

Okay... while reloading more songs to the player, it kinda froze up. WHAT THE FRICKIN' CRAP IS GOING ON!!! My goodness, what a letdown... hopefully it's nothing, yes?? Heh... dag nabbit...

***

Disconnected it from the comp... lo and behold, it's playing music! SOOO AWESOME!!! Aww man, that's so cool... I have my mp3 player back!!! YEAH!!! Stupid hilarious Justin for not realizing that I could do this earlier... heheh... man I feel like a dink...

Until next time, I guess...

Weekend

I did stuff this weekend. It was a good weekend. Woo!

Kinda too lazy to blog about it. Or am I.....??

Until next time, I guess...

Random-ish Griping

I bought a couple shirts yesterday, normal solid-colour shirts that ACTUALLY FIT ME. That's pretty cool. What was especially cool was that the black shirt fit me especially well, and I was like, DANG that's awesome... however, it had a whole in it, so they exchanged it for one that didn't.

Today, I put on the black shirt, and lo and behold, it's like 3 sizes too large for me. WTF?!?! Well that's just perfect... stupid sportscheck clerk... stupid me for not double checking... yet another griping in such a non-memorable week...

Although, hopefully tonight = teh awesome (if I may use such language...). Photo shoot -ish thing for the CD album cover for our church, at Spanish banks w/ everyone and what not... trying to get one of those silouhette picture against the sunset... I don't think I spelled siluette properly, but no matter...

Yeah, supposed to have solid non-logo shirts for this picture, as per the copyrights hassles, hence the shirt buying yesterday. However, I refuse to wear my stupid-sized black shirt and instead go to the store and exchange it back. And yes, I said stupid-sized. 'Cause all stupid people are large. Or, all large people are stupid?? I forgot who I was trying to make fun of now... although, I guess I'm really just making fun of myself in the end...

But yeah... here's to having an awesome weekend... woo-ishness to be sung in the future, oh yes...

Until next time, I guess...

Argh-ish

Today was alright, at work I was in brightstacking, meaning I was working w/ the cooked cans instead of the raw stuff, so that was nice. Although, brighstacking means no overtime, however, canning stopped at like 1pm, so there was no overtime anyways! So yeah, awesomeness at work!

So, I then had pretty much the afternoon to myself... meaning, finally able to phone for the warranty for my mp3 player (yes, my MicroPhoto, heheh...). I figured, I've got 'til 6, I have some time... so I took a shower, ate some food, youtube'd it up a bit... then, about 5 minutes ago (about 5:40), I figured I might as well do the warranty thing, as it was getting close to 6...

I phone... "thank you for calling the creative blah blah blah... we're sorry that we are now closed. Our normal business times are mon-fri, from 9am-6pm, central time."

...WTF?!?!?! Holy freaking crap, how annoying is THAT! ...GAAAHH!!!

But, oh well, whatcha gonna do... I still have until the 23rd, as that would be 90 days after purchase... oh, plus hopefully, if it's a hardware issue, then a year... but I'm not risking it... stupid creative... but, yeah, stupid procrastinatory Justin...

What a freakin' week...

What a waste of time...

...and gas. Both resources were wasted tonight.

First off, working in the can loft today at Oceans. Woo, easy jobs etc! But, oh wait, now I have no overtime, in fact only getting 7.5 hrs today... that just sucks... and is depressing in itself...

But hey, I got home early, which meant I could finally phone the warranty thing for my mp3 player, and get the visa thing up, etc etc... but first, I showered, of course. So, it was about 4:30. Then, my mom was making food, so I was like, I'll just sit down and wait 'til it's done... and I'll phone in the meantime! But, lo and behold, my sister was watching tv, and I got sucked in... next thing I know, it's 5:30 and dinner's ready. I eat dinner, watch another show. It's six. Too late for visa, oh well... so, time to phone warranty thing. I phone. "Sorry, we are closed now, but our regular hours are mon-fri from 9am to 6pm"... wait, it's 'til 6pm? My phone says 5:59!!! Stupid freaking everything... had I known it was closed at 6, I wouldn't've gotten sucked into television land...

But at least the roast beef was good...

But anyways, yeah, that was kinda depressing. But hey, at least I knew that I was gonna be playing the drums tonight. Sectional rehearsal at 8. So yeah, I just went on the comp, strummed the acoustic a bit, pass the time and whatever...

So it's 7:45, I get off the comp. I leave the house, it's 7:55, nuts I'm late... I drive up to Vancouver, get to church at 8:08, crud I'm a little late... I pull into the parking lot. There's no other cars. THERE'S NOBODY THERE.

...WHAT?!?!

So yeah. As it turns out, Charissa never e-mailed Joey about going tonight, like I asked. And nobody told me otherwise, so I assumed that it was on for tonight. Meaning, I just drove into vancouver for absolutely no reason. Stupid everything... so I sat like a bum 'til 8:30 hoping someone'll show, but nobody did. I got frustrated and drove home... but hey, since I'm out, I might as well get something done, so I drive to ironwood to get a haircut. It's 8:40. The lady refuses to cut my hair, 'cause it'll be 8:50 when she's done the customer. I didn't wanna argue, 'cause having an angry flip woman cutting your hair, not a good idea... at least, I'd assume it wouldn't...

Anyways, by this time, I was feeling pretty depressed. Quite depressed, actually. So, I did what any other sane person would do in my situation: go to Save-On and drown myself in chocolate!

I bought myself a save-the-animals dark chocolate mint bar. It's rather delicious, even if I only had a couple squares of the bar (as, you know, full from roast beef dinner...). But delicious it was. But, as most happy-pill-equivalents go, it was far too fleeting.

So, here I am, relatively depressed, having completely wasted my entire evening, and all I've got to show for today's efforts is a partially-eaten chocolate bar... but at least I'm saving the rainforest... yay me...

Until next time, I guess...

Woo Ultimate!

Sadly, this is the last day of Ultimate for the summer... but you know that means; PLAYOFFS!

First game was the semi-finals against Funky Walker Dirty Talker, then if we won, we play in the finals!

But yeah... first of all, I gotta say... I'm starting to hate my job... standing for 9+ hrs a day... making my muscles all stiff...

I PULLED MY FREAKING GROIN BEFORE THE GAME EVEN STARTED!!! You can't believe how friggin' annoying that is... to go all summer, gradually getting better and better, then finally at the end of the year getting to the point where I could actually contribute to the team, then BAM I pull my groin while tossing the disc around. WTF?!?!?! Stupid freakin' everything...

Although, I did end up playing a couple points. First point was in the semi's, while we were already up 10-3. My groin was still freaking sore, but I thought hey, the lead's way high enough for me to lose a point for the team... I just had to play, heheh... so yeah, I got on, and I found out quickly that I was sucking. I mean, I was only playing at like 30%!!! I mean, my thing in ultimate is that I'm super fast, relatively speaking, and not being able to do that... SO FREAKING ANNOYING!!! Pissed me off so much... but, I did what I could, slacked off on offence, burned it up on defence when needed... I actually had a couple of knockdowns, which was nice, and one diving D block... so that was cool... but man, I know what I could've done... but yeah, anyways, that point ended up being a freaking marathon! It lasted for like, 10-15 minutes... believe me, that's a LONG time for a point... and here I was, all gimped up, running around trying to keep up... I just wanted that point to end, but everytime either team got close to the end zone, they choked and thus the point kept on going... but yeah, burned it up on D, slacked the heck off on O... as it turned out, we ended up giving them the point, someone got beat in the end zone... but yeah, just glad it was over... I mean, by then it was only 10-4, so the game was already pretty much out of hand anyways... ended up winning 13-4, so yeah, off to the finals were we!

So yeah, Tuesday Tier 2 Ultimate Final vs. Deep Throw't! Started past 8 though, so had to be shortened (due to lack of sunlight), but no matter. Last game of the summer! Woo! This team ended up being quite a bit more challenge, at least at first... lost the first point, but we picked it up after that... anyways, the score was something like 8-2, and it was already quarter to 9, so I was like screw my groin, I'm gonna play in the finals! So, I got on, ran around a bit, found a hole and caught the disc, passed it back, and ran decoy/backup... then we caught the disc in the endzone, got the point, and won the game. Woo, we're champions! And yes, I ended up playing in the final game of the year, hooray for me!

So here's to Bad Touch, Tuesday Tier 2 Ultimate Champions!!! HOORAY FOR US!!!

Until next time, I guess...

p.s. - Oh, and haha, sexual innuendos with the groin pull, so funny... get over it guys... it's just an upper leg strain... and it's not funny to me, stupid lack of being at 100%...

p.p.s. - We used to be in Tier 1, but due to injuries/laziness and/or sucking in June, we dropped down to Tier 2 for July and consequently august/playoffs were Tier 2. But no matter, we da wienars!!

Why Am I Always...

Dumb Like That

by Vroom

I think I've seen every star in the sky tonight
Removed from the city lights, it's never seemed so bright...
I know I shouldn't believe a word you say,
I do anyway, cause I'm dumb like that.

Oh...
In all the words I've given to you,
When you smiled I thought that it meant something else.
You were just being yourself, being nice,
You're always rather polite...
To me...

You let me down again, when you ignored the things I said to you.
If I was scared of you then maybe I could leave...
And if I walked away right now,
There would be nothing left for me to lose but doubt.

I Never fell so far for anyone before,
Never again I swore,
With you hope was restored...
You make me feel like I've been torn apart
I don't like that at all. I've lost control...

Oh...
In all the words I've given to you,
I poured my heart out into an empty coffee cup,
You drank it up,
& left me here to drown...
Alone...

You let me down again, when you ignored the things I said to you.
If I was scared of you, then maybe I could leave...
Cause if I walked away right now,
There would be nothing left for me to lose, but,
I can't lose you...I can't lose you...
I can't lose you!

I think I've seen every star that I care to see,
but I don't wanna leave.
It hurts when you're self deceived...
I know I shouldn't believe a word you say,
I do it anyway,
Cause I'm dumb like that...

Oh...
In all the words I've given to you
When you smiled I thought that it meant something else.
You were just being yourself, being nice,
You're always rather polite...
To me...

You let me down again, when you ignored the things I said to you.
If I was scared of you then maybe I could leave
Cause if I walked away right now,
There would be nothing left for me to lose but doubt...
but doubt...but doubt!

There's nothing left, there's nothing left for me to lose but doubt...
There's nothing left, there's nothing left for me to lose but doubt...
There's nothing left, there's nothing left...

Gwah??

Panic! At the Disco is a freaking band?? I thought it was the new song from Fallout Boy... Jeez...

HILARIOUS!!!

Holy crap I found this so freaking hilarious!!!

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Another Nice Day

Woke up after an awesomely refreshing dream, which I cannot seem to remember. Actually, woke up at 10:30 after sleeping at five and felt refreshed, but realized I wanted more than 5 hrs of sleep, so I slept again 'til noon. Heheh.

Then, I had pancake breakfast my mom made. With scrambled-like eggs (i.e., not completely scrambled, but all mixed up and stuff... hard to describe, lol...). And also with veggie bacon, which was surprisingly delicious, if a little dry ( I mean, is it really bacon w/o the buckets of fat?).

Then, after an hour or two of digestion, off to Lemongrass on westminster w/ kris, clinton, rob, devon, and me. Best pho, EVER!

Then, went to Netaholics. Played some more Warcraft III. I shall someday own that game, thus nullifying the need to go to an internet cafe place to play LAN with everyone. Oh, Scott met up w/ us, and Clinton had to go. Yup.

Then, went to bubble tea (Devon had to go), delicious Ovaltine once again. From that "cheapo" place at garden city. Quite nice.

Then we went our separate ways. All in all, it was only like five or six hours, but yeah it was quite nice. Way better than wasting it away like I ended up doing a few months ago. Last summer of the rest of my life, apparently. Heheh. Didn't use it to my fullest...

But no matter. There's still a few more weeks to goo... go... not goo... that reminds me of slimer, lol... and now I'm rambling...

Until next time, I guess...

Summer Days, etc

Today was nice.

Church (was drumming), picnic at queen E., hanging out at Alan & Tim's place (a.k.a. Tim/Alan, heheh), BP metrotown w/ everyone (incl. rowdy Aguilar kids), then movie at Joey/Esther's place. Very full day, quite awesome.

Oh, and I watched "Inside Man" at their place. It was a rather good movie. Clive Owen was awesome, as usual. Although yes, a little contrived, still awesome. Heheh...

I could elaborate, but check the timeclock on the bottom guys. Time for bed.

Until next time, I guess...

--> As told through the mind of someone too lazy to post a youtube vid!

Are YOU Afraid of the Dark?

HOLY FREAKING AWESOMENESS!!

And there's like TONS of other episodes too! Awwwww man, this is sooo freaking cool! And this is actually one of the creepier ones to boot! Haha... but yeah, it's amazing how many of the actors become relatively known in these things, I mean this one's the girl from Ready or Not, and other episodes have like Amanda the VJ (the dollhouse episode), for example ...and then there's the main glasses guy who went on to student bodies and is now on the weather channel, lol... SOOO AWESOMELY NOSTALGIC! Haha...

Until next time, I guess...

Deluxe Combo Platter

Man, that is an AWESOME movie. In the states, it's called "Love On The Side", though... but yes, SOOO INCREDIBLY CHEESY!!! And yes, I do admit it, I do like cheese... and, okay, it's a bit of a romantic-y chick flick, but still... cheese is awesome... I'm such a sap...

One thing that wasn't so great in this movie is the obvious lack of character development. But, I don't really mind movies (and other forms of media, in fact) that lack character development, 'cause then you can just fill in the blanks yourself! It's awesome, and makes many poor movies come alive, lol...

One thing about this movie that was super great, however, was Marla Sokoloff. Pretty pretty pretty...

And that's enough of that. Look it up etc for yourselves, too tired/lazy to link things. And by "it" I'm referring to the movie. Just to clarify. Heheh.

Until next time, I guess...

p.s. - Yeah. I'm a dink. Didn't do anything today, as per my last post. Dink dink dink...

Into the Nothingness

Yeah, I got off work early today, although my reason for doing so is now kinda invalid, as I'm no longer watching a movie tonight at Hollywood. But, I thought I'd leave early anyways, 'cause I do have a few things to take care of... for example...

The warranty thing for my mp3 player... it'll expire in like a week, stupid me...
Student loan app.
CACEE form for accounting thing. It's like a resume.
...

Okay, I'm sure there's lots more, but these are the major things I gotta get done. Instead, here I am blogging. I am truly a dink.

Although, I'm actually ridiculously tired, as I've been averaging like 4-5 hrs of sleep over the past couple weeks. Kinda catching up to me, I was falling asleep at work today... should perhaps nap... but naps at my house never usually happen, always too loud... but yeah, the point of this here post, of course, is to procrastinate. Because I don't feel like doing anything right now. And that kinda sucks.

But no matter. Here's some youtube!

It's just somebody's band practice, and it's not even that great, but I'm loving the sound of the guitar for some reason... like, around 0:45, for most of the song... kinda reminds me of Vroom, perhaps... man, I can't wait for the zombie battalion vid to be up, so I can show off and gloat about our awesomeness! [or, rather, become super embarassed at watching myself perform... man, I just hope I'm half as decent as people say... video always captures every single little error, and it always stants out sooo much when I watch myself... but I'm getting ranty in these brackets...]

Until next time, I guess...

Ultimate in Near-Rain!

Ultimate playoffs started today. Our game started at 7:30, as we ended up getting a bye in the first round (due to the fact that we dropped down a tier, to tier 2 tuesdays, lol...), but yeah, at about 6:30, when Andrew and I were leaving, it was just POURING! First time it rained in like forever, and it had to be the day when Ultimate playoffs started, lol...

But yeah, oddly enough, by the time we got to Jericho W, it actually stopped raining! Haha... and it was actually fairly warm out, being that it's still summer and all, heheh... although, it was more of a jump-into-the-lake coldness at first, walking out there w/ shorts 'n' t-shirts. But awesomeness nevertheless.

So, yeah. We won the game. WOO! Onto the semi-finals / [finals!] next tuesday! Although, that does mean no overtime for me at work, heheh... oh wells... but yeah, this game was a fairly decent one for me. Cut nicely in the end zone, caught the hammer from Corey, that was fun. Then, next point, I let the guy go long and he got a point in the end zone. Whoops... but yeah, from then on, I was like the super-defence-against-the-speedy-guys. So yeah, burned it up catching up to my check, although then unable to do anything on offence. But no matter, I helped out in the end! Woo, one of the only games in which I was a + player! Then again, we did end up winning like 13-5 or something... no matter! I was still happy with my performance today.

Although, there was this one instance where the disc was floating to a crowd, with me + others in it, and some girl from the other team held onto my shoulder as I jumped up, making me be all off-balance, then somebody stepped on my ankle. With kleats. Ouch! I'll be feeling that one tomorrow...

But anyways, yeah, I've come to realize over the past couple days that I have finally regained my speed that I so highly cherished in gr. 12! I mean, with the soccer yesterday and the sprinty ultimate today... I was back to being one of the faster ones out there! Hurray for me!! Hopefully, I can learn to have some skill to go with my speed, heheh...

Anyways, also worked for 10 hrs today. That was rather tough, playing ultimate after that... actually, not too much so, although my muscles were kinda sore to start out with... and dang, I can only imagine how I'll feel tomorrow, lol...

Speaking of tomorrow, I do believe that I've got it all planned out. First off, work 'til 6pm (hopefully). Then home, shower, dinner. Then, get a haircut. Then, maybe music w/ andrew etc. Then, perhaps if I'm not dying by this time, go to Hapkido for the first time in months. Heheh. Although, that last one is kinda pushing it. But yes, it seems that this is my day tomorrow. Woo!

Some other stuff I wanted to blog about but have yet failed to do so. Yup. I just know I'm gonna get into bed and realized that I didn't blog about something... heheh...

Until next time, I guess...

Various

Quick summary of my day: wake up noonish, msn talkings, soccer, danny's market, food, computer, computer, computer, computer... yeah wasted so much time doing didly squat on the comp...

Things I wanted to get done today (in no particular order): warranty on my mp3 player, haircut, student loan, going through my e-mails that have accumulated over the past 4 months or so, plus many others I can't quite remember right now...

Also, I've found that a fun thing to do when bored is to look back and read old blog posts that you made. It's instant nostalgia, and I looooove nostalgia. Also, as a bonus, it reminds me that I've actually done stuff in the past few years. That's always good to know.

I'm way too lazy for my own good. But everyone already knows that. Now, that being said, I've been feeling especially lazy in the past couple of days. Hence the lack of long bloggings (relatively speaking that is). Don't know why this is...

Until the next time I post another lazy article of non-ramblings, I guess...

--> As told through the mind of an introverted extrovert, for old times sake...

Cool Summer

It's been an amazing few weeks, give or take, what with the camping and the hangings out and what not. Today continued this trend of awesome.

Sushi. Rush. Rob's. Home. Scott's.

And that was my day. Yeah, I got lazy...

...

Although I'm trying not to put something from youtube on all of my posts, I just saw something pretty freakin' cool...

Sure, perhaps a little long and somewhat dry/boring, but man I found it soo amazingly interesting... esp. at 3am, lol...

Also, I gotta delineate myself away from just the featured items. And yeah, delineate is probably not the best term to describe this, but it's what came to mind... [edit - as it turns out, I didn't find this vid as a feature, but rather by accident looking for bass-related things; even though my memory seems fairly shot, that's pretty cool...]

Until next time, I guess...

Fireworks! BBQ! Awesomeness!

Today was good, but it's 3am and I'm super tired, so hopefully just a quick rundown.

Church - Late, still drummed, saw people, was nice.

Driving/Parking - Drove around looking for parking. First planetarium, but that was closing at 5, so drove around sidestreets of beach area, found nothing, went back and talked to the guy at planetarium parking, said to go to Vancouver Music Academy or something like that, and I parked there, even with "violators will be towed" signs. Heheh, I'm a rebel.

Winnebago - Walked a bit at vanier park first, saw awesome kiting, then ate lunch at Joey/Esther's (parents) winnebago. Yummy, and hanging out w/ the kids. Also saw Clinton wandering outside. Then Kris and Scott came, and we went out

Lounging/bbq - Spent most of the day lounging around, guitar, disc/frisbee, then barbecue, which was actually just (DELICIOUS) veggie burgers and hotdogs. Fun with everyone there. Lots of awesome.

Fireworks! - Fireworks were pretty. Seemed SUPER short though, especially after staying for the entire day there at Vanier park. Heheh.

Drive Home - Waited like an hour for traffic to die down, hung out around winnebago and car w/ kris scott yvon shaylene kirsten. Then walked back to car. Man, stupid roads were crazy packed, took forever to get back to cornwall, then forever down 4th (didn't wanna bother with burrard, but 4th = horrible decision...), ridiculous hills on oak north of 12th, plus oak was super busy (a stall on 63rd, I think...), and took forever to realize accident 'cause listening to the zone with it's crazy playing-every-song-on-their-playlist-alphabetically weekend. But ended up down heather to 70th, then home. Man, was so tired then, took 2 hrs to get home...

And that's my awesome Saturday! In a very large nutshell. But rest assured, it was truly, truly awesome day.

Man, I really don't feel like expanding. Funny how my relative expansions were on driving, heheh. Perhaps my sleep to blog length theory is kind wack... or, then again, is it?!?! Ohhh, secrets abounding yet confounding the brain...

...yeah, I've got nothing. Pretty weird am I.

Oh, and check out the new Arctic Monkeys video. I thought it was kinda stupid until I read a comment on how this video is a metaphor for how "the wrist-slitting youth tries to use the wrist-slitting to get guys." And they did it tastefully! Taken in that context, that video is pretty awesome... honestly, song was secondary in my mind, as it's 3 am...

...okay, I gotta have something more than this obvious featured vid. But I haven't watched anything else of note today... so, therefore, here's my friend Dorothy singing Death Cab For Cutie!

Until next time, I guess...

Unexpected Awesome: The Best Kind!

I was gonna get sooo much stuff done today. Instead, Mark phones me up, tells me it's his birthday, and that he's having a gettogether at his place. FRIGGIN' SWEET! Screw my dinky plans...

Anyways, party = awesome. Guitar Hero, met Sally, nachos, lots of other friends, burnout3, spaghetti, more burnout3 and guitar hero, then for those who stayed: freaking Personal Preference! Best board game EVER!!! Oh man, soooo much fun... enough fun to make me stay an extra 3 hrs, and leave at 2:15am! And I gotta get up at 6:30... Awesomeness... (it's just past 3am, btw...).

Man, board games are awesome. We should all play tons more board games. SUPER fun.

All who wants to go to fireworks, i.e. with me, gimme a call and what not! I've never been to the fullblown supercrowd that is the actual fireworks (I've only been from across the river), so I think heading over there would be nice. Then again, I have a church bbq/potluck thing at 5 at the planetarium park, so I'm gonna be there for a while also... so, I don't know if I can truly go to the downtown thing anymore... I'm so friggin torn...

But whatever. I'll worry about that later. For now, though, HAPPY FREAKIN' BIRTHDAY MARK!!! Awesome party, as friends are cool... even if aging isn't, apparently... lol...

Until next time, I guess...

[p.s. - Man, I really gotta get crackin' on my Things To Do list, it's starting to really pile up...]

Out of It

But first, I'm guessing that I'll have to be more proactive if I want people to go to the fireworks then... indirect blog invites never work!

Anyways, it seems that my wednesday has come and gone WAY too quickly. Work ended at 6, after going home and shower it's nearly 7, food 'til 8ish, then channel surfing 'til 11... although, I did find a marx brothers marathon on channel 46, that was fairly amusing... ahh, 1930's comedy... oh, and some food channel awesome thrown around too... plus the beginning of serenity... but yeah, total waste of my time, really.

And now I wasted the past 2 hrs on the comp, doing didly squat also.

I've also come to realize that if people wanted to, I'm very succeptible to hackers. Or, not me, but anything with my passwords. People are actually starting to know me... and now I'm paranoid! ARgh! But I've had my password since like grade 10... infotech class... so awesome...

Anyways, the next paragraph or so is going to be about completely random junk, and I mean like first-week-of-this-blog rambly... you know, just for relaxation... total thought-to-page kinda thing...

I'm not working tomorrow... stupid lack of fish... I usually work by myself... I think alot then...

Okay, I kinda got lazy... either that, or I ran outta thoughts. Most likely the latter. So much for awesome 80-line rambly paragraphs...

As I have no school tomorrow, I should probably get some things done tomorrow... such as, stupid mp3 warranty thing, and my CACEE form for accounting career, and my student loan, and a haircut... and hopefully, all of these will actually get done...

Anyways, as is to be expected, here's some more youtube awesome!

Yes! Respect of one's self! This body is a SHRINE!

Until next time, I guess...

Fireworks!

Hey you guys, there's fireworks tomorrow!

I'm not going to that one...

However, I'm going to the one on Saturday! Hurray!

Would anyone else like to go with me also? Perhaps, those of the Reuben/Andrew group?

I am also going with a couple church/camp friends! über-group, away!

So reply, yes?

Until next time, I guess...

Edit - The entire Italian fireworks! Cool... although, the shorter clips are more palatable, heheh...
