Another Awesome Weekend (and sorry for the incoherency & length!)

[Edit: Before I begin, KUDOS to anyone who can actually trog through all this garbage. And for those who'd rather not, youtube awesome at the end!]

Man, went to Camp Hope again this weekend. Sooo awesome. But this time, my mom didn't wanna drive, and my sisters didn't wanna go, so I ended friggin driving there! Very cool... also, I brought along my friend Krystle and Karla... and after I picked them up, and before I went to camp, I went to Nate's barbecue! That was delicious man... but anyways, yeah, drove to camp hope! Oh, but we stopped off at chilliwack, and I bought myself some shoes and a backpack, and I friggin' lost Karla and Krystle for a bit! I was like, dang, where'd they go! ABDUCTION!!! But it turned out they were shopping for things, and didn't wait for me at starbucks. Heheh. All good in the end. Anyways, got to the camp site around 10pm, quite dark, but good thing the tent was already mostly set up, so that was good... met up with Melvin, so it was the four of us for a while...

Anyways, first night was wandering around a bit until we found Valen and co. up on the youth hill, doing their jam session w/ the rest of the philippino church crew. At first we couldn't tell if it was them, as it was super dark and what not, but we eventually realized it was them. (it was rather humorous... hey, is that VALEN? Is it VALEN over there...?). Then, loud conversations with John, which turned into super hilarity when Krystle played along to John's "oh you're so hot krystle!" comments... apparently they'll go out next week sometime now, lol... no, not just lol, more like HAHAHA! Soo funny Krystle... people yelled at us 'cause we were loud too, heheh... then, after a bit, we pretty much went to bed relatively early... I think I went to sleep around 1am, which is like ridiculously early for me in recent times... Rather nice, caught up in my sleep... (and also, LOL! to that, if you continue to read on... catch up on sleep, hahaha...)

Anyways, woke up at 7am when Melvin got up, then 8:30am when Krystle/Karla got up, then finally at 10am when they decided to wake me up, heheh... so yeah, nine hours of sleep for me! So good... anyways, showered, made my way down to the young adult tent, watched an awesome praise music thing (with a crazy awesome written song by the guitarist Danielle, about He knows you, or something... awww man, I forgot it already!!! DANG, IT WAS AN AMAZING SONG!!! Gah... oh, one line, "and he can hear her cry"... perhaps it'll come to me later...). Anyways, decided to go for a walk after that, walked around a bit, then I think I met up with some people, oh then pot luck at Joey/Esther's trailer (but first a little sampling at Karen/Karla & family w/ delicious central american food (plus, I'm thinking not so latin, but I'm not sure... delicious nevertheless!). So, yeah, after I ate w/ Joey and the rest of them, but played w/ the little kids first (i.e. Sophia and G), then ate haystacks (i.e. sevy-style nachos) and pancit (flip noodles) of both palabok and canton. Also delicious!

After fooding, we had a Joey jam session there, as he brought along the churches Les Paul, along w/ his acoustic and a bass, plus the necessary ampage! Soooo awesome, even if I'm HORRIBLE at freestylin'. Heheh, oh well, I'm learning... but yeah, awesome times playing bass, then switching over to guitar (that I haven't played in like forever!). I still need soooo much work, heheh... after the jam session, we headed over to the main pavilion (which seats like 2k, and is like all old and wooden curvey and stuff... hard to explain... but yeah, cool) to hear Winston and Charity sing special music. Although, as they sang at the end, we did have to sit through an excruciatingly boring CUC promotional thing, about what they're doing at the college, and as nobody's really going there... a bunch of people fell asleep, lol... I however stayed ever so intent, bobbing my head a couple times... oh, then they sang. Cooool. Then after that, headed over to Joey's for a bit, then they invited me to eat at the lodge there, giving me a free dinner ticket. Thanks you guys!!! So yeah, it turned out to be more haystacks! Haha... but yes, awesome dinner. Then after this fooding, it was time for playing the bass for the little kids again! Although, this time I was all lost and couldn't read the music properly, and I couldn't hear myself (as per the no monitors / dedicated bass amp), so I was like guessing through half of it... oh well! It was still nice...

After the kids thing, as I met up w/ some other guys (a.k.a. Dorothy/Valen/Kirsten/etc), went up to youth tent. Although, we didn't stay there for long, as Catherine lost her phone and wanted to look for it. Now, as I only knew those people (although not entirely that well, mind you), I decided to tag along and help find her cell phone around their/Aguilar's site. Although, shy me, I barely talked to them, aside from the occasional remark here and there. I helped out slightly, but I kinda felt a little self conscious and what not. Heheh, oh well... but anyways, I ended up meeting with Krystle and Melvin again, and along with Valen, we all went out to hope to go get some food (and yes, I've kinda already eaten, heheh...) so we ended up at Dairy Queen. And yeah, flamethrower burger is DELICIOUS! As delicious as the commercial is hilarious. But I'm sidetracking... anyways, we came back, I ate half my burger and my blue raspberry arctic rush, then went on to youth hill to find the crew. Also, there's a gym-night there, with like basketball and volleyball. I decided to play some volleyball. I found a team with Kim, along with Harvey, Tim, Anthony, ......, crud others I forgot others' names... but yeah, we played volleyball for a couple hours, kinda sucking at first, then really coming together near the end and won like 3-4 games in a row. Rather fun. Oh, and let me remind you, this is outdoor beach volleyball, at like 11pm-1pm. Heheh. It was AWESOME!

After volleyball, when they were shutting down the place, I met up with the others (valen/winston/etc crew), as Winston was playing basketball, or something. We all went down and stayed at the hangout site (i.e. joey's), but first I picked up the rest of my food and such. So, it was 1am, and we were all hanging out (we being Me, Winston, Valen, Dorothy, Catherine, Christian [intermittently], and Kirsten [until her parents got her at 2am-ish]). So, we were all just talking and hanging out and what not for like a bit, and someone (arguably ME) got the idea that we should pull and allnighter. Of course, I was SO up for doing that. So, yeah, as we talked, the convos kinda ebbed and flowed, and people came into and out of conversation due to tiredness and ability to contribute, I guess. Christian left around when Kirsten left, but came back later on, although kinda quietly-ish. But yeah, we all just talked about nothing pretty much, until I think Catherine asked the "what's your favourite movie" question, which started the convo a bit. Then it went to movie soundtracks, then music in general for a while. About this time, most people got drowsy and/or non-talky, and it was just me and Dorothy sticking it out, trying to stay awake and what not, but as it turned out we liked/knew a bunch of the same music (i.e. Less than Jake, Nofx, warped tour, indie bands, "electro" that I have to look for, etc...), then the topic came back to movies, and asked what we liked, and it went from my Eternal Sunshine to surreal movies in general to Donnie Darko to being freaked out if a bunny suddenly hopped into our campsite (even a cute fuzzy one), and then onto horror movies, then b-horror movies, then Ginger Snaps II! AWESOME movie we both enjoyed (and became a running gag, as she always returned to "I really wanna watch Ginger Snaps again..." throughout the night), then seeing a guy at 3am behind the towel (scary), then asking if you're awake move your fingers! (which they didn't), then the weird dog bark that sounded like an old lady yelling at us (HEY Hey hey yipyipyipyip...LOL), then onto how sappy movies are awesome, etc etc... [and before you guys get any ideas, NO to potential, as among other reasons, she's just completed grade 11... so yeah, just 17, little sister's grade, NOT the girl for me...]. Then, as other people awakened, and as the sun started to come up, the conversation took a highly more humourous turn....

Now, let me remind you guys, when I stay up all night in a group situation like that, I practically become drunk as heck, as all my inhibitions seem to fade away. And hence, the energetic/non-shy/crazy Justin emerges! Heheheh...

The conversation went from sappy movies, to a sappy episode of Undergrads (i.e. Roommates, for those interested), to tv shows in general (Dorothy's korean drama addiction!), then back to movies i.e. other genres like action (jackie chan) and comedy, then to Austin powers, then to seth green, then to buffy (or was it buffy then seth green?? oh well), but yeah, we all liked buffy too, heheh... and by this time, I was already getting kinda boisterous, and when the convo went to seth green, and his tv shows, I immediately thought of Greg the bunny, and that friggin' HILARIOUS third (I think) episode when the children-show ratings were going down, so Seth tried to cool/"urbanize" the show a bit, so Count Blah! blah became Count Aight, aight... *smooth hand wave*, LOL, and that cracked them up... then I continued w/ that Count Ai-ee-get Blah! Thing, and they kept laughing, and I continued being an ass, pulling out hilarious crap out of my ass every which way, most of which I've forgotten by now (oh, one included Rex Navarette, SBC, we can pack anything... pack animals... HAHAHA!), but yeah, this laughing fit lasted for practically 2 hours or something, on and off, so yeah, that was quite awesome. Laughing at every little thing at 6am is the best friggin part about staying awake allnight w/ a group like that.

Morning time now, people had to pack, so we all went up and helped pack around 7:30ish. Now, let me tell you, the weather was slightly crummy this weekend, cold and cloudy (especially compared to last week's awesome super-heat), and it ended up raining today, right when we had to start packing. HIGHLY annoying. Oh, also annoying, it was like allergy/cold outside, so my nose was all stuffed, then an eyelash got stuck in my eye for a while, and it was raining, so that part wasn't fun. But I was still hanging out w/ everyone, so it was all cool. I kinda had to break off from this group to meet up w/ Krystle and Melvin as per the tent teardown, so I kinda said my goodbyes (although rather hurredly, I might add), and helped out the teardown. Soon enough, it was like 10am, and we were on our way out of camp!

So yeah, didn't end up hiking up to third ledge (with it's AWESOME view) nor went swimming at Lake of the Woods either. But hey, it was still an AWESOME weekend. Yeah. Awesome. It's so nice I had to say it thrice... but now I'm rambling in my I-stayed-up-for-30-hours-straight style. Yeah. Oh, and I was kinda falling asleep on the ride home. SLIGHTLY SCARY, sorry Krystle, lol... but yeah, t-hos french vanilla, delicious! Same w/ chicken salad, and canadian maple donut. But I'm rambly about boring now... I stop, day is over... hehe, coolness... oh, although, it's like 4pm now, and I've got band practice at 6pm, and I haven't slept yet. LOL, maybe not the best practice... but hey, haven't seen in forever, and I wanna practice something at least... but anyways, point is, WEEKEND WAS AWESOME!!!

Oh, and about the youtube awesome, by the time it was like quarter to 7am, we all realized we were all acting a little crazy, and this always kept popping up from people...

It was all like, who do you, who do you... and I'm like "think you aaarrreee!" And they're like, hahaha, and I'm like "bless your soul!" And we were like, "and I think you're craaaaaazzzaaaayyy!!! Just like MEEEEEE!" And it was cool. Or at least I thought so, lol...
Oh, and funny story, the first time I heard this was when I was listening to the zone 91.3, of all stations, on the new music thing. HAHAHA, that's rather humourous. But yeah, it's a friggin' awesome song. Heheh.

Until next time, I guess...

Crazy Couple of Days

Past couple of days = crazy. As per my title.

Tuesday was my cousin's bday. Happy bday pito! Then I stayed up all night watching movie channel movies. All were good. Watched House of D, Proof, and another I forgot what it was. Then I went to bed at around 8:20am.

Wednesday, my work phoned in around 8:50am to come in. And yes, that means I only had 30 mins of sleep, lol. Funny thing is, I actually felt kinda rested, heheh... still only ended up w/ 6 hrs of work though, kind of annoying. Don't remember doing anything afterwards. Oh yeah, decided not to go to Hapkido, AGAIN, due to my lack of sleepage. And I slept relatively early too, like, before midnight! Haha...

Thursday = Work. Overtime. Although they had an extra stupid lunch break (which aren't paid) instead of the normal paid coffee break, so I only ended up getting 1.5 hrs of overtime instead of 2. Argh. Then I got home, and did nothing of particular importance, and definately nothing of what I should've done (i.e., warranty on faulty mp3, buy shoes, activate visa...). Although, I did figure out that I'm driving both Krystle and Karla to camp tomorrow. No longer alone in the carride! Hurrah!

Okay, so maybe not so crazy. But they've been bluring by, 'cause wow, tomorrow I'm already driving up to camp hope! CRAZY! Man, I can't friggin' wait for the weekend... and hopefully, I won't make a complete ass of myself either, heheh... although, dang tomorrow's going to be busy... leave work at 4pm (i.e. no overtime), finish packing (as it's like midnight now and I haven't even started!), pick up Krystle, pick up Karla (both in vancouver), get to Nate's bbq thing (yay bbq!), then drive to chilliwack, buy more supplies, then drive to hope! And hopefully, it won't already be 10pm! Heheh...

Speaking of busy, I should probably get going, start packing and what not... but first.........

GAH! YOUTUBE'S DOWN!!! Stupid scheduled maintenance...

Until next time, I guess...

Me So Tired...

Seemed like an extra long day today, I'm rEdiculously tired right now... as in, if I put my head down, I'll pass out... I blame the lack of sleep I got on the weekend... that, and the 10 hr work day... needless to say, I decided against going to Hapkido, once again...

Anyways, as it turns out, I won't be coming in to work tomorrow, as they seem to have run out of fish and/or have too many people for the work required. So, what I'm trying to say is, I've pretty much got laid off. THAT SUCKS. Although, this is hopefully for only a day or two; definately am gonna get called back again. Eventually...

On the bright side, I get to freakin' sleep in tomorrow! AWESOME! Although, I would've rather had the $200... oh, another plus, I actually have time to do some errands I've put off for a couple weeks. That's cool. Plus, I kinda have to [edit: I have no idea what I was saying right here... dang, I've got such a friggin' headache...]

I wanna go back to Hope this weekend... very much so... it's soooo awesome.... hmmm, now I'm kinda hoping that I don't work for the rest of the week, then I can leave before rush hour on friday, now that'll be cool... but wait, no, I don't wanna miss four days of work, that's just horrible... GAH. Sucks to be me. I know, I know...

Or wait, if I'm not freaking working, I can actually go there, like, tomorrow!!! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!! Even though I know it's never gonna happen, heheh... but oh man, I've always wondered what it's like during the week, as I've never been to camp meeting during that time... aw man, I've always wanted to stay for the whole week too...

I'm kinda rambly at the moment. Well, kinda am, and kinda not. You know?

Now my head's starting to throb... time to stop staring at the comp screen... dang, I'm not done rambling though... oh well...

Until next time, I guess...

Old-School!

Hey, got back from a day-trip to Hope, or more specifically, Camp Hope. A yearly event which lasts for a week + weekends (i.e. from friday to next sunday). Very fun, VERY big event, with like 10,000+ people from the entire B.C. Conference camp for a week, w/ sermons and music and sunshine and wakeboarding (to name a few things) filling up their days. Such an awesome thing to see. TONS of people wandering around, and every so often there's a bunch of people you know; friends from current church, from previous church visitations, from summer camps, etc etc...

But anyways, about today, VERY beautiful over there in the fraser valley. Even if it was super hot and muggy (I heard it being called Ontario weather, btw... lol). Anyways, woke up like an hour or two late, so after the 2ish hour drive up there, we barely caught the tail end of the speaker. My sisters and I decided to go to the youth hill, while I wanted to go to the young adult tent. Oh well, Walter's a good speaker. Then it was the Vancouver Central Oakridge Adventist annual potluck lunch thing, delicious veggie food as per usual, plus hanging out w/ friends surrounded by mountains and trees and blue sky and 35degree air (or so it felt, at least). But awesome nevertheless. Then, as it was friggin hot outside, we decided to go to the Lake of the Woods, which is like an 8min drive away. Soooo nice, even if it did take us like 2 hrs to actually go through with the plan, heheh... funny thing though, I kinda forgot to bring swimming trunks, so I just went in my shorts, heheh... then, getting back, went to dinner in a makeshift 8-man gazebo-tent thing... then played bass for the little kids w/ Joey etc... then scampered over to the young adult tent (which was much more university-lecture like, and consequently much more enjoyable for me and much less for Charissa)... then went off too the SDA bookstore / grocery store, which I subsequently lost my sisters while having my back turned, which then lead me into a crazy hour of surprising awesomeness wandering the campsite trying to find my sisters in the twilight of 9pm... so my sisters and I were in the bookstore, so I went off looking around, and as I turned my back for a few seconds, they were gone! I checked the bookstore, then the foodstore, but couldn't find them... after waiting around there for a few mins, I decided to wander around, see if I could eventually find them... while doing so, I met up w/ Joey, Esther, and company walking around, which included Esther's cousins Dorothy (or DJ? she goes by both, haven't really called her by either yet...) and Catherine, and joined up w/ them. As I was considering going to the youth hill for some volleyball/basketball, asked them if they wanted to go too, they decided to go to the stores first, so I went along, but again I turned my back and they friggin' disappeared! Gah, annoying! So I decided to just walk back up to the youth hill anyways, by myself... now, on the way I met up with David (Ngan) and Tim, which was pretty cool as I barely see either of them, so we walked up for a bit... then we saw Valen for like 20 seconds, as had to get back to her tent and there was a passing car willing to give her a ride... anyways, I had to use the bathroom, so David/Tim and I went our separate ways... after relief, walked to youth hill, and met up w/ DJ and Catherine, along with Winston and CJ... ended up watching the crazy fast paced (but very low scoring) b-ball match going on... anyways, I realized it was like 10pm, having to drive back from hope tonight, so I thought it'd be best if I continued my search for my sisters... but yeah, point is, I just thought it was pretty cool that while wandering the campground filled with thousands of people, I meet up with so many of my friends... fairly awesome... (btw, I did find my sisters, and my mom, eventually...)

Hmmm, perhaps I should've spaced that out a bit, use a little something I call "paragraphs" and what not... but no matter...

Anyways, anybody wanna come out camping next weekend? To this place, hmmm? Most likely Sat. overnight kinda thing... Saturday would mostly be laid back-ish (as it's the sabbath and all), but Sunday all the activities are in full swing, including wakeboarding/waterskiing among others... probably for a $$ for rentals and what not though... but man, it's a beautiful place, surrounded by trees and mountains with awesome hikes with (smallish but swimmable) waterfalls, & huge plateaus... but yeah, I guess you guys won't be much interested, I'd assume... just thought I'd give an invite anyways...

Oh, and a funny coincidence, on Jamieson's blog was a link to a religious-themed survey, the Belief-O-Matic... funny as it was one of the first things I read online after coming home from a religious-themed day trip...

Needless to say, perhaps this survey thingy is fairly accurate...

1. Seventh Day Adventist (100%)
2. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (96%)
3. Orthodox Quaker (96%)
4. Eastern Orthodox (90%)
5. Roman Catholic (90%)
6. Jehovah's Witness (72%)
7. Hinduism (70%)
8. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (67%)
9. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (67%)
10. Orthodox Judaism (59%)
11.Sikhism (54%)
12.Islam (49%)
13.Jainism (47%)
14.Liberal Quakers (46%)
15.Bahá'í Faith (45%)
16.Unitarian Universalism (41%)
17.Mahayana Buddhism (37%)
18.Theravada Buddhism (36%)
19.Neo-Pagan (28%)
20.Reform Judaism (27%)
21.Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (27%)
22.Scientology (22%)
23.New Age (22%)
24.Taoism (21%)
25.Secular Humanism (19%)
26.New Thought (16%)
27.Nontheist (14%)

...or (as I stated in Jamieson's blog) perhaps I just chose answers that already conformed to my religion, seeking out SDA answers from the get go?? I don't know... then again, many of the choices I made were in hesitation... i.e. the "what you must do to be saved" questions...

Anyways, that's about all I've got to say right now... oh, except one more thing that I've been thinking of doing since NumaNuma first broke, and that is to do one crazy montage-like video for youtube combining all the major viral vids over the past couple years, incl. Numa Numa, Star Wars Kid, Lazy Sunday (i.e. crazy delicious!), Internet is for porn, etc etc... and I mean like, writing a crazy script incorporating all this awesome... like, doing a numa numa ripoff first, then all of a sudden a ninja crashes throught the ceiling and challenges me to a duel or something, but gives me a month of training, i.e. with a friggin double lightsabre! Then, a whole lot of awesomeness ensues... just a rough idea, but you get what I mean, eh? Just wanted to share, see if anyone else is interested in the filming/acting/etc... plus, with more bodies wanting to do this, the greater the likelihood of me actually following through! Haha... I mean, yeah I know that practically nobody would have read up to this final paragraph or whatever, but hey, I kinda like spilling out all this crap in my head at 4 in the morning, heheh... but anyways, as this was a huge tangent of the main post, just to recap what happened, today at Camp Hope was AWESOME!

Until next time, I guess...

NOOOO!!!

Holy Fudge, no more MxTabs?!?!

I have completely lost my faith in the music industry... first lyrics were taboo, and now tablature... stupid money grubbing whore mongers...

Oh well, I guess it's back to Ultimate Guitar for me then...

Until next time, I guess...

...

It seems that it's been more than two weeks since I've had a post of any personal substance. And although the past two weeks have been anything from unevenful, it's not like my "having a life" has made me too busy to blog; it's more that I am so ridiculously lazy that I didn't feel the need to blog. Usually that's a bad sign. But whatever. Here's a recap of the past two weeks, in no particular order:

- My Grandpa was well enough to go back home to Gibsons. Hurray for getting better! But I do kinda miss him, even though we barely spoke to each other or whatever...

- All of last week was VBS, a children's program in my church. The theme this year was Fiesta, so it was like mexico all week. Pretty cool. Once again I was in charge of the "rowdy boys" group, avg. age about 8-9. Oh, and I played the crazy electronic drumkit all week too. That was fun, esp. the latin beats. Yo..... tengo un amigo que me aaama, me aaama, me aaaaama... yo tengo un amigo que me aaaaama, su nombre es Jesus! Heheh... Mexican food pre-showtime for the crew was mighty delicious. [sidenote to myself... don't be so shy... speak to others I do not know... that is all]. Actually, it was kinda more like thurs/fri/sat/sun/mon setup, then VBS for 4 nights. Yup. Kept me kinda busy. Still had crazy bad sleeping schedule, did nothing during the day. But stilll... Yo tengo un amigo que me aaaaaama.......

- I was called into work on wednesday, then they phoned back saying that they weren't canning, and thus I didn't have work again. Then they phoned in on Friday, at 8:30am, when I kinda pulled an allnighter for absolutely no reason, to work at 11:30 to probably 5, which was when I needed to be in Vancouver for VBS, so I said that I couldn't come in to work. I asked if I should come in on monday, and they said to wait for a phonecall. I think I kinda pissed them off... whoops... no money for me this year...

- Missing the past two weeks of Ultimate sucks, 'cause man I love that sport. Last week was b/c of vbs, the week before b/c I was lazy and my leg was kinda gimped up. Oh, plus on the monday a while back (when I kinda gimped my knee), I also kinda busted up my 5 yr old kleats. I'm hoping I don't have to buy another pair, 'cause I still wanna buy a laptop, a pair of new sneakers, plus pay for this yrs tuition (of probably over $4k... plus books, co-op fees, etc...). If I end up working soon, or go on the grouse grind tomorrow w/ Jamieson and co., I'm also thinking I won't make it to ultimate this week either... that is disheartening... Oh, and while I'm on the topic of missing things, I haven't been to hapkido in quite some time, nearing two months now actually... this after not going for like 6... that sucks...

- ...a whole bunch of stuff that I was too lazy to blog earlier this week that I seem to have forgotten.

I wanted to keep these points in actual point form, but as usual, it kinda blossomed out into long posts. So yeah. It's now 5:30am. And if I'm called into work at 7:30am... DANG, I'm so friggin' screwed. Well, as it is, I'm gonna set my alarm for 9am, and phone when I get up. I'm actually hoping that I don't get called in, even if it does mean I'm losing like a couple hundred bucks. Oh well...

Until next time, I guess...

Edit - Okay, so I caved... how can I NOT put up a youtube vid??

JOHNNY QUEST THINKS WE'RE SELLOUTS! SELLOUTS!!! JOHNNNAAAAAAYYYYY!!! Man, I love this song... kickass song from a kickass band (Less Than Jake). And man, I love ska-punk. Or is it punk-ska? Or perhaps it's the negatively connotated "skunk"... oh well, either way, I highly recommend you downloading the album version, crazy awesome bassline to boot. But be wary, as there are several not-so-great files out there, heheh. JOHNNAAYYYY-AY-AY-AAAYYYY....

Noronen's "Welcome to Vancouver" Video

But first... happy 500th post!!!

But anyways, here's something that was linked in the canucks forums, under a thread about how Noronen's pissed that he's not gonna get enough playing time. It's labelled as Mika's welcome video... FRICKIN' HILARIOUS!

Until next time, I guess...

What If...

Man, I'm addicted to what-if's... I've spent way WAY too much time parusing the canucks forum. That's an even bigger waste of time than frickin' video games!!! GAHH....

That being said, here's my new hope for the Canucks next season:

Nits' (New and Improved!) Projected Canucks 06/07 Roster: [in millions]

Sedin Line:
LW Daniel Sedin $ 3.575
C Henrik Sedin $ 3.575
RW Mattias Weinhandl $ 0.8

Nassy Line:
LW Markus Naslund $ 6
C Brendan Morrison $ 3.2
RW Mark Bell $ 1.0

Kesler Line:
C Ryan Kesler $ 1 (?)
LW Matt Cooke $ 1.5 (?)
RW Trevor Linden $ 0.8 (?)

Interchangeable 4th Line:
C Brandon Reid/Tommi Santala $ 0.5 (?)
LW Alex Burrows/Tyler Bouck $ 0.5 (?)
RW Jason King/Jesse Schultz $ 0.5 (?)

Defensemen:
D Willie Mitchell $ 3.5
D Mattias Ohlund $ 3.5
D Sami Salo $ 1.5
D Luc Bourdon $ 0.8 (?)
D Lukas Krajicek $ 0.65 (?)
D Kevin Bieksa $ 0.45 (?)

Goaltenders:
G Roberto Luongo $ 6.75
G Mika Noronen $ 0.65 (?)

Total Cost: $40.75 million

Heheh, how's this for realistic you guys... at this rate, we could possibly pick up a decent 3rd liner... but anyways, onto my explanations...

G Roberto Luongo --> First off, it's gonna be $6.75m against the cap and not $6. Apparently it's the avg. of the contract that goes into the cap calculation and not what the player actually makes that year. Anyone who read the canucks forum knows this already... and it's all over the place, not just this thread...

RW Mattias Weinhandl --> This guy tore it up in Sweden w/ the Twins, automatic chemistry... gah, just read this... so yeah, I'm thinking a 3rd round pick for this guy, possibly an upgrade to one of the 2nd rounders from the Cloutier trade, or possibly a good prospect or something. VERY doable, and he's super cheap... SO PERFECT.

RW Mark Bell --> Perhaps the new power forward that could help us fill the Bertuzzi void? Many people on the forums are high on this guy, and I'm starting to jump on the Bell bandwagon myself... he performed admirally on a sub-par team with so-so linemates; he could so up his numbers playing with Naslund and Morrison, eh? Plus, the youth/cheapness looks good to boot... perhaps, trade for King + prospects (i.e. Schneider/Ellis-Plante/Vincent, as we don't need many prospect goalies?)

C Tommi Santala --> Apparently Nonis is very high on this guy. Same with Jesse Schultz. I'm too lazy to link to forums where Nonis said this though.

RW Trevor Linden --> Yeah, I know, he's not a 3rd liner, but whatever he's filler at the moment... switch him with King if you want. Our 3rd/4th lines blur anyways. Oh, and RW because we have no friggin' right wings, AT ALL.

Now, this is definately not my superb fantasy roster or whatever, just a realistic sampling of what the future Canucks could look like. I mean, Bell could easily be replaced with Afinogenov, Hartnell, and (if we wanna take chances w/ prospects) Eric Fehr... yeah, the Eric Fehr that topped the WHL a few years ago... plus, he's Washington's property, and apparently they don't have many goaltending prospects after Kolzig's gone... PLUS, Toronto was able to trade Rask for Raycroft, and Fehr is unproven (i.e., not impossible trade)... but man I'm rambling now...

Anyways, yeah. Disagree to your heart's content you guys!

Until next time, I guess...

Ahhh, Youtube...

Once again, it's 5am. Because of youtube. This time, however, I ended up watching several hours of yet another internet phenomenon, known as The Wine Kone. This guy has influenced youtube videos in much the same way Numa Numa influenced viral videos. One major influence would be the way he edits his vids, i.e. the whole abrupt cuts. AskANinja, anyone? Heheh... but anyways, without further ado, my favourite Wine Kone video:

AWESOME!!! Well, especially the first few minutes. Then it's just normal funny and not uber hilarious awesomeness. But yeah, there's tons of other Wine Kone videos, and watching from his very first video to his very last video, you can totally see the evolution he made. Soo cool.

Anyways, yeah I should get to sleep. Big day tomorrow, what with the whole ultimate and what not. And hopefully songwriting goodness and what not. Plus, I'm kinda tired tonight, with the soccer and the practice and what not. Oh, and it turns out that I'm an extremely lazy and slothlike person, and as such have failed to phone my workplace to see if they have a job for me yet. Perhaps it's some sort of subliminal wanting to not work yet. Or not, I don't know, I'm not a frickin' psychologist. But, yeah, another beginning of a lengthy ramble it seems to be. Heheh, see how I threw that yoda-esque language right there? Syntax king I am... or, not syntax but some other linguistic jargon? I don't know, I dropped linguistics last year...

Nonis hasn't signed anyone recently, since Willie Mitchell. It's been like 2 days Nonis! Do something now! I AM IMPATIENT! @@@hhhh!

...Heheh, I'm so random and off topic-y. Most likely the side effect of watching too many thewinekone vids, as he tends to go off into hilarious digressions. Actually, kinda reuben-esque actually... but, wine kone has video, so that's cool.

Enough of this, it's quarter after 5am. Sleep is now!

Until next time, I guess...

Nice Day Today...

Jazz festival at Granville Island today. It was a nice day. Bunch of people came: Reuben, Mai, Colleen, Nathan, Sheena, Gautam, and eventually Mohsin. Fun stuff. IHOP then b-line. First band I liked better than the second band, more rock-ish less scat. I spent too much money, esp. on food/drink, but no matter. Oh, also bought a weird Mojito drink (lime+mint+sugarcane) from Non, kinda good in a "glad I got it, but I'm never having it again" kinda way... OH, also a hilarious "magic" show too, sooo funny... man I'm tired, stayed up 'til 7:30 playing heroes, only got 1.5 hrs of sleep, heheh, plus also hot sun and mellow music, very very relaxing you might say...

And as I begin to taper off into incoherency, I shall stop blogging now. That sentence didn't make quite as much sense as it did in my head. Anyways, yeah, I should sleep, but I'll probably end up Heroes again. Heheh.

It's hot...

Until next time, I guess...

Random Annoyances

Here's some random annoyances that ticked me off yesterday:

- My purchased-32-days-ago mp3 player has a "firmware issue". Stupid friggin' everything! Although, I don't remember if the salesgirl said I had 30 or 60 days to purchase the warranty, so perhaps I'm able to fix/replace it with minimal hassle...?

- Learned that buying a barebones laptop means that I have to put everything together myself. I thought it was a mix and match made-to-order type dealio! That just sucks! I don't wanna mess around w/ a laptop... most likely gonna get myself an asus a8jm instead of the z96j, for all those interested... hopefully I didn't put any typos there, heheh...

- Stupid non-realization that I had to take COMM 370! That completely messes up my schedule! i.e., now I have 10am classes mon-thursday, with only 1 class on monday... that sucks... plus, I'm not gonna be able to switch Taxation into first semester any longer... gah, no point in trying anymore... on top of that, I can't take consumer behaviour anymore either... stupid then again, at least my tues/thurs aren't super horribly long anymore, just rather long...

There are others, but I got bored and stopped typing for like 3 hrs. Actually, that's also kind of annoying, my inability to focus when writing my blog...

Oh, and Happy Canada Day, you guys! How many people were in Steveston this year, over 50k?

Until next time, I guess...
