Inclass Commercial

Today in my marketing class, we watched a whole bunch of award-winning commercials. One I found to be especially poignant:

For the full effect, I'd fullscreen it. Here's the link. And here's the embedded video for the lazy'uns:

Got me all choked up and what not. Just thought I'd share.

So this is, what now, post #5? 20 left to go? Wow, this might be tough... but yeah, definitely worth one of my posts, for sure.

Sitting in the Cornerstone

So here I am, on the corner of 4th and Stephens, and as I sip on my $3 "chai" latte while watching the snow begin to fall, I realized something. My life is AWESOME. Well, recently it has, at least... heheh...

Skipped my first class today, although I didn't intend to. I left the house a scant minute or so later than I should have, and as thus I was at the corner just in time to see the bus fly by. The 84, to be exact. So I waited for another 10 minutes for the next bus, which ended up being the 4. So I hopped on, and wondered why not many people were doing the same; I figured it was because the 4 is usually slower than the express buses. Unbeknownst to me, this 4 in particular didn't go all the way to UBC. Silly me. So we all got off on Alma, and waited for one of the express buses to come. And as I'm sure many of you could guess by now, the express buses are incredibly full by the time they hit Alma. So, as I waited in the cold for the next 20-odd minutes, watching as the line behind me grew steadily longer and longer, three overfilled express buses passed the stop. By the time the last one came, which barely had any room at all, it was already too late for me - by the time I'd get to school, I'd be in class for all of fifteen minutes. So I said enough of this, and let the horde of people try to squish on the bus.

It was only a review session anyways...

I then decided to take a walk up 4th, as the walk I took on Monday went the opposite direction. My first stop was this extremely-hokey new-age bookstore. It was a nice browse. My next stop after that was a couple clothing shops, nothing being terribly appealing (plus, I despise being the only person shopping in a store - the workers keep staring at me, it's so unnerving). Although I did find out that forerunners has the jogger's outfits I'd like to eventually get. I then stopped by the thrift shop I've been meaning to peruse since I first moved into the apartment. And man, I love raiding thrift stores... this time I found No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom (of which I've already owned a copy before Luis lost it on the bus to strathcona, haha), Santana - Supernatural (the one w/ Smooth and Maria Maria, plus a bunch of others I didn't realize was on), as well as the Wallflowers - Bringing Down the Horse (which I got discounted 'cause it lacked a sleeve; the one w/ one headlight, the only difference, etc). So yeah, again, I am a slave to nostalgia, lol... although, I was THIS close to buying like 7 choose your own adventure books, like the oldschool 70's-looking drawings kind. Although, flipping through some of 'em, I realized, buying music from your childhood, WAAAY different from buying books from your childhood. I didn't wanna ruin the mystique that was my grade 2/3 reading materials... although I wouldn't mind getting a hold of some encyclopedia browns and cam jansens... heheh...

Anyways, walking back up 4th, I ended up passing by the Cornerstone, as I was cold and wanted to warm my belly... it looked nice, and the baristas' looked nice, and had free-trade signs all over it, but what really convinced me to enter was the free wireless internet! Unlike some other popular coffee hangout... stupid starbucks... but anyways, yeah, I ordered my chai, sat down, glanced outside as the snow started to fall, and started to blog. My goodness, so relaxing... I can't wait 'til finals are over so I can do this, like, EVERYDAY. This is so worth $300+ a month...

***

Yesterday I decided to go for a little excursion. And I FINALLY cut my own set of keys to the apartment. It's like I have complete autonomy now, haha... what held me back was the "do not cut" on the main building key, so I was kinda reluctant to cut it around my place. So, Krystle told me of a little place on main and 60th, near where she stays, who would cut the keys. She also told me they were drugdealers, heheh. So yeah, knowing they wouldn't mind cutting a "do not cut" key (as, you know, what were they gonna do, "oh we need a letter from your landlord before we can cut the key. But here's your bag of marijuana!"), I went to pick up Krystle and got it done. We then got some pizza hut and watched the game. WOO we won for once! 1-0, but, you know, whatever... naslund got that crazy goal though, heheh, awesome.

So yeah, three awesome days in a row. All because I decided not to worry about school, AT ALL. Heheh. I'm sure I'll pay for it later (as in, like, IN AN HOUR OR SO as I go to my next class), but yeah, I don't really care. I'm having a blast...

***

Man, it's really starting to come down again. Road's turning white. Apparently tomorrow brings freezing rain to boot. Perhaps another snow day tomorrow, in which another morning of excursions shall ensue? Hopefully not, I wouldn't really wanna miss tomorrow's classes.

Heheh, as of today, my paper is four, no, FIVE weeks late. Screwing myself over for sure though, 'cause now I've got two papers to write, worth 30% each, and I can't friggin' send that second one late. But you know what? As of this moment, IT'S SOOO WORTH IT.

So worth it.

Awesome Day

So today school was cancelled, as UBC has no power, so I decided to go for a walk down 4th... alls I've got to say is, MY GOODNESS I LOVE VANCOUVER. Or, at least, this part of Kits, heheh.

First off, I gotta mention, the snow is BEAUTIFUL, walking down the street here... and looking down the sidestreets towards the beach, my goodness, it's a freakin' winter wonderland out here...

First thing I did was buy a pair of gloves from coast mountain, as I don't really have a pair of gloves myself... I bought a pair from old navy last year, but a) they're in Richmond, and b) they're not waterproof nor very warm. So, dropped $30 on some decent gloves that, for like the first time ever, actually fit! Ha-HA!

After that, I just kept walking down the street until I eventually hit burrard. I figured, that's far enough, crossed the street, and decided to go into the thrift shop. And, lemme tells ya, GOOD DECISION! I ended up buying like 6 cd's, and I could've easily doubled that number! I mean, here's what I bought:

Vertical Horizon - Everything You Want
--> Who DOESN'T like that song?? Plus, I kinda like their sound, so I figured I'd give their other music a try.

Third Eye Blind (Self-Titled)
--> HOLY CRAP I almost pissed my pants when I found this one... from Semi-Charmed Life, to Jumper, to How's It Going to Be... freaking SWEET! And the odd thing is, I just started looking up 3eb on youtube, like, last week! Oddity of oddities...

Savage Garden (Self-Titled?)
--> Awwww man, did a doubletake with this one... this is like the epitome of my grade 7 year... friggin' memorized "I Want You", and I LOVE to the moon and back, and break me shake me... goodness... although, I was never really a fan of truly madly deeply, and I'm kinda annoyed that that's like their most popular song... kinda like bsb and quit playing games... no, wait, forget I said that, heheh...

Sister Hazel - ...Somewhere More Familiar
--> I can't begin to describe how much I love this band... and finally getting an actual cd of theirs, coool... plus, it's got the widely-known "All For You", as well as a bunch of others I like that I'm sure nobody knows about...

OKAY, now before I continue, let me just say this: PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE ME!! I am a slave to nostalgia!! I LOVED this music back in the day! And, yes, I still do now!! So, with that out of the way, the final two cd's I bought:

Aqua - Aquarium
--> You guys might laugh, but hey, this cd is a plethora of musical GEMS! From the hilarious barbie girl, to doctor jones, lollypop/candyman (my personal favourite)... PLUS, considering it was some sort of limited release, with like 6 bonus tracks, I just had to get it...

soulDecision - no one does it better
--> YES IT'S A FREAKING BOYBAND. But I friggin' love this cd... from Faded to Gravity, sooo awesome... and, again, it's called NOSTALGIA. I had to get this one...

Anyways, so yeah, those are the cd's I ended up buying... some of the cd's I DIDN'T end up buying included the likes of Montell Jordan (i.e., this is how we do it), Papa Roach cd (the one w/ last resort), Limp Bizkit (with Nookie! I loved that song, memories w/ cousins...), Squirrel Nut zippers, Unwritten Law... etc etc... basically, I could've easily bought two-three times more cds than I did... and yeah, but I could've downloaded 'em, you say, but whatever, helping out the salvation army AND having actual cd's from bands of my childhood, sweeeet...

After my shopping spree in the thrift store, and as I was walking back, I kinda realized I was hungry, so I started looking at all the restaurants... but, as anyone who knows the area can realize, there's only one place to go for brunch: Sophie's Cosmic Cafe! The one with the huge spoon/fork outside, and all the crazy memorabilia inside... so much fun... I ended up getting the openfaced turkey special, which is basically turkey on french bread w/ mashed potatoes, swimming in gravy! And anybody who really knows me would tell you, that's basically my favourite food in the whole world... and what's crazy, is that the salad it came with, although not smothered in dressing, was DELICIOUS! I mean, I even enjoyed the freaking cucumbers, which I usually despise! Ohh, and also, I learned that I do like raw tomatoes, as it was the first time I've ever tried to season 'em properly, and as any food network aficionado would tell you, "I don't know where you get your tomatoes, but mine don't come seasoned!" Or something like that, haha... but point is, Sophie's is AWESOME. We all should go out there sometime.

Anyways, as I was eating my turkey, I realized a few things. Firstly, I LOVE living in Vancouver, and that I need to get a freaking job ASAP so I can friggin' continue to afford to live here. Secondly, I need to do this more often, just go outside and do whatever, instead of staying indoors and wasting the awesomeness that is Vancouver. Thirdly, as I was eating by myself, I realized that my happiness need not be dependent on the company I keep, as is usually the case. I was alone, and I was friggin AWESOME. No more thinking that I NEED to have a gf, for example, to be fully happy. Sure, it'd be nice to have one, but I'm not gonna get all emo over it anymore. This whole needing to have a potential thing was kinda stupid anyways.

After I finished my turkey, I got up and went searching for a scraper/broom thing for my car, as there stupidly isn't one in my car right now, and I never knew this until it was too late... but yeah, looked briefly in shoppers, then I kinda just gave up. As it turns out, I'm horrible at shopping; if I don't find something I want immediately, I just give up and leave. I did the same thing a few weeks ago, I couldn't find the tofu in Safeway, so I just said screw it and left. Stupid me, there's a whole hippie-veggie shelf w/ a bunch of tofu and yves products. Heheh. But yeah, left shoppers, bought a litre of milk and a pack of gum at Safeway, and went back home.

This has been by far one of the best mornings I've ever had. BY FAR.

Although I think my food kinda made me sleepy, as I've been in kind of a daze since I've got back... went online, talked/traded with Gautam, blogged... and now it's dark and I wanna go to bed. Heheh, so much for finishing my paper today... but honestly, SOO WORTH IT.

Alls I've got left to say is, I sure as hell hope that there's no school tomorrow either... heheh, we're so screwed for finals...

Oh my goodness, I nearly forgot! This is post #3, 22 left to go! Boo-ya!

Save As Draft

I've just realized that I can have my cake and eat it too! Meaning, I can have my save-things-for-remembering-later, as well as not bore you guys to death. And hence, "save as draft." Heheh.

Concert was AMAZING! Thanks to all of you who were able to make it! Good times indeed.

Snooooow!

Pulled an allnighter on thursday, internet kinda crapped out on me but no matter. Now I just gotta finish two papers by monday... wow I'm screwed, lol...

What else is there to say? Oh, right. I have entered the world of youtube vids, for those of you who're interested. They're rather dumb, imo, but whatever. Also, my 2nd youtube vid is taking quite a long time to convert, and at the moment isn't online yet. [edit - it's up now, heheh.]

And that's about it.

Milestone!

***

Uhh... okay, hmmm... yeah, don't really have anything else to say... but huzzah to realizing that over the past 768 days, I've posted 600 times.

Actually, it kinda makes me feel like I've wasted far too much time blogging. Which makes me think, hmmm.... there's only 43 days until 2007. I am hereby limiting myself to 25 posts until the new year. Yup, you heard me, I'm putting a quota on my posts. Hopefully this'll make me think twice before posting random meaningless posts...

But, is 25 really that much of a difference?? Let's find out...

600/768 = 0.78125

25/43 = 0.5814

Reasonable drop in percentages, yes?

Oh man, and I usually go postal (der har har) during finals... that's like, 25 in a week... heheh, not this time around...

***

To end this post, I had something specific in mind... however, I couldn't find the ending, so I had to settle with the opening... but, without further ado, a quote from my grade 1 writing assignment:

"You may think that this is the end, well it's not!"

Random Shuffle

Heheh, random shuffle is awesome. Especially hearing songs I haven't heard in a while. Most notably... ohh, and here it comes.... you know I'm gonna say it... VROOM!!! Hahaha...

But yeah, random shuffle played Sorry Excuse, and it kinda made me rethink a whole bunch of things. About where my focus should be, among other things.

Now, in lieu of boring you all with the lyrics / "download this song", etc, I'll just give a recap about what it's about.

Basically, and I mean VERY basically, it's about how one is too afraid/lazy/etc to go out on a limb and actually do something about their faith. "Go light the world", indeed... "I don't want anything but to see the challenge taken..."

***

Okay, I know I said no lyrics, but whatever... and you know what, as I've already put some lyrics down, I might as well just go put more... plus, I just love this round... I mean, what with the word wrapping with the music... okay, you need to hear the song, so this means nothing to you guys, but I'm gonna post it anyways... and yeah, go ahead and laugh, Kyle is once again dead on... but yeah, the amazingness of Vroom:

Now you've gone away from me
Cause I lied one too many times,
about the thing that meant the most to you.

Cause I lied one too many times,
about the thing that meant the most,
to you I never meant to hurt,
your feelings I never meant to,
hurt you I never meant to hurt you,
I never meant to hurt you!
And I can't afford to lose you now
I wish I could be someone else
Some one who would try to be
the only one to help you out
and never ever let you down
I wish that I could be that guy.

And it just builds up to the "can't afford to lose you" line, and it's all awesome, etc etc.... and yeah, as far as I can tell, and I'm sure it doesn't really seem like this when reading, but I believe the speaker's talking to God, and how he feels sorry for his (lack of) action in the past, and how he wants to be a better person. Considering the context of the song, this seems like the case.

Then again, Vroom seems to have lots of double meanings and quasi-religious overtones to everything, so I might just be overreaching about the God thing here...

And yeah. Go read my previous posts if you're all bored w/ this one. I'm sure you'll get a kick out of something...

[Edit - Okay, so technically, it isn't a round... mixed up my musical terminology... don't know what this thing is called, but whatever it is, it's awesome...]

Two Choices

Two Choices

Corny powerpoint e-mail thing, but whatever. I like the song...

Connections...

I just wanted to say that I'm sick. As in, of the viral variety.

Now, I've been kinda sick since about Sunday, but last night/today, kinda got worse.

Also, as it turns out, there is now a water advisory out here in Vancouver, most likely 'cause of the storm. But yeah, brown water from the tap, not pretty. You see, the thing is, I never realized it until this morning; right before I left, I filled up my clear plastic water bottle, and noticed that the water, it ain't friggin' clear! I was like, what the hell?? Seriously, that's just gross...

But what's more gross was that it was probably like this when I had a shower, washed the dishes, BRUSHED MY TEETH, etc etc... I mean, that's just, ewww...

So, to summarize: my water is brown, and I've gotten sicker.

Coincidence? I think not...

No good

And me w/o an umbrella. I mean, Shoppers doesn't sell umbrellas?? What??

***

...okay, so the picture doesn't really show it, but it's PISSING RAIN outside. And for those who're wondering, this is my view from Koerner library, where I'm "studying". Yeah. I planned on doing at least some of my paper in the 2 hrs between classes, but so far, nope. I've got about an hour and a bit left, hopefully I'll get a couple pages in. And, well, a couple pages IS like 1/3 of my paper...

In other news, I LOVE my new laptop... sooo glad I saved the $500, I can't conceivably see myself gaming for very long anymore. Really, I gots internet, webcam, office, and old games if I decide to play. And, besides from the first couple days I had my laptop, I haven't been gaming at all. Then again, it's not like my productivity level has been all that high since I stopped gaming...

***

Okay, so I started to get semi-ranty. Sorry 'bout that. Alls I really wanted to say was that so far, today SUCKS. Hopefully it picks up.

So here's to hoping.

...yup.

Sleep

Good Idea: Going to bed when you're tired.

Bad Idea: Going to bed at 8pm, then waking up at about midnight and not being able to fall back asleep, and thus end up blogging by 1am...

My sleep schedule's probably all messed up now... heheh...

Quickness

Afro Cuban Allstars, concert at Chan centre, AWESOME.

Ability for using nonsecured wireless internet in apartment, AWESOME. Well, it's slow and doesn't always connect, so somewhat awesome perhaps.

However, no 3-pronged grounded outlets in apartment, SUCKS ROYALLY. I've now only got 20mins left of battery. Stupid 60's tech apartment...

[EDIT - Haha, stupid me, there ARE 3-pronged outlets in the apartment, but they're only in the kitchen! So, being able to recharge battery power, I've basically got everything I need in the apartment! Sweet...

So yeah, Charissa, that means yes a microwave might be a sound christmas present to buy... heheh...]

So much study homework schooling, so little time... well, lots, but really, so little...

OH YEAH! Got futon today, SWEEET.

So to summarize, quite the awesome sunday. Niiiice...

Until ne...

Yeah enough of that sig.

Today so long...

Today, Saturday, felt soooo long... heheh...
[WARNING: somewhat incoherently written. And most likely boring...]

Woke up early 'cause SOMEONE forgot to pick up the book I borrowed from the oakridge library, *COUGHcharissaCOUGH* which meant leaving the (vanc.) house at 9, which meant arriving at church at 10. But, I gotta say, getting to church early, and not having to rush, AWESOMENESS.

Although, getting a mere 7 hrs of sleep isn't enough for me anymore. Seriously, comparing how I am with an avg. of 5 hrs sleep versus an avg. of 8-9 hours, SO DIFFERENT. Everything seems so much clearer, I'm even answering questions in class, as compared to trying my hardest not to fall asleep. Woot to that! Haha...

But wait, that's besides the point. The point is, Thursday night at home, after staying up WAY longer that I wanted, I realized just how much better it is away from home. Like, ridiculously, crazily better than at home. Heheh, wow, such descriptive adjectives... but yeah, home = distractions, vancouver = clarity. To say the least.

ARGH, stupid sidetracking... back to today...

Church was good, playing congas for the first time in forever, childrens church, rememberance day stuff, yadda yadda, good stuff. Then potluck, then JAYA, then helping out w/ congas again w/ the hula ministry stuff... then home by 4pm.

Then hockey pool, then wallowing in my own self pity for 45mins because of my horrible players... HEHEH, yeah right, kinda gave up on the hockey pool about the time when Reuben smoked my ass... the donkey was crying all night... GAH, sidetracking again... but yeah, hockey pool for a while, then some eating, then realized it was already 5pm and late-ish for ZB practice!

And yeah, zombie battalion practice, first in forever, gotsta have more of that. Man I really miss those practices... I mean, I guess I've forgotten how awesome they are, but yeah, practicings are funlike yes. And my constant gibberish seems to tell me that I'm getting too tired for coherent blogging. Which means, gotta speed up before I zonk out...

After practice, dropped off my gear, then drove to Joey's for a gettogether movie/games night kinda thing. Good food, good fun, good movie. Watched Saved, haha. Played Guesstures, 2nd ed. I think, and we all had a blast making fools of ourselves. Then played Pit, card-like game kinda thing, w/ spoons or in this case chopsticks, never really liked all that much before, but now that I'm actually kinda sucking (or at least mediocre), starting not to be so annoying a game. How backwards is that... Only guy again, WHAT A SURPRISE, stupid roomies and their studiousness, hehe...

Then drove home, but running out of gas, kinda freaking out on drive home, then found a shell station, awesome yeah. Wow, that was more incoherent than usual, but yeah, worried enough to blog a sentence I guess.

Tonight me sleep so late I am. Waking up early I should, futon, 10% off card, GROUP PROJECT, crap that's right...

Ohhhh, right, and tomorrow, scored free tickets to the cuban jazz thingy at Chan centre, preeety cool. And, OH MAN, I forgot to mention, friggin' Tom Chan played drums for us today at church, as I was at conga w/ the kids. And yeah, same Tom Chan owner person yes. He's a pretty cool guy. He said I was a good drummer. Woot! [haha, more sarcastic-y leet speak...]

Sorry for stupid soundingness of bloggings. So late. So tired now. Kudos for readers, yadda yadda. Sleep now.

Ending sig.

A Bird In The Hand?

"A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."

Seriously, for the longest time, I had NO IDEA what the heck that phrase meant... until last wednesday...

My finance prof was talking about something, and compared it to this phrase, and for the first time in my life, it actually made sense!

First off, think of a bird as a chicken, and as something you need for sustinance. You see, when you have a bird in the hand, it's something you've got for sure. If there are two birds in the bush, sure, you could end up with two birds, but you could also go hungry. Therefore, it's better to have a smaller amount for sure than risking a bigger reward and ending up empty handed.

Soooo cool...

***

I forgot to mention this earlier. When I was picking up my laptop on wed, apparently I saw the newest Canadian Idol on the bus. Except, at the time I had no idea. But, later on in the day, when I was bussing back from school, I just so happened to pick up a copy of the metro, and lo and behold, she was on the freaking cover! I had to do a friggin' doubletake, haha... apparently she's in town for promotions or something.

I mean, I'm not terribly impressed by celebrities, for example I don't even remember her name, but I still thought that was pretty cool... well, enough to worth mentioning, haha...

***

Can't wait 'til I can pick up my futon so I don't have to sleep on a deflated air mattress. Heheh.

I don't have that much more to say, and it's not terribly important anyways, so I go now.

Until next time, I guess...

Been A While

Update on me:

1) I am now a Vancouverite. Living in an apartment 3mins away from the beach. COOL.

2) I am typing this on my new laptop. COOL. Although, it does lack a video card, so no HeroesV for me... oh wells... ASUS F3F for those who're wondering.

That's about all for now. Well, there are other less important stuff, but I can't rant as I need to catch a bus in 5 mins, heheh...

Until next time, I guess...

Flip Out & Go Crazy

Yeah I felt like making a post, but couldn't think of anything to say. So, instead, felt like being ninja:

FLIP OUT & GO CRAZY!!!

Ohh man, how nostalgic was that... now this was my summer of '04, I was so enamoured by this song, lol... it's sooo stupid, haha...

And who can forget this gem:

It's the freakin' filipino equivalent of the macarena! And alls it is is sticking your butt out and wiggling your back... but man, HILARIOUS! This thing spread like wildfire... there's nothing like watching your elderly relatives do the otso otso, soooo funny... lol...

And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, the freaking REMIX!

Haha, I actually watched that movie (w/ Vhong Nevarro and Bayani Agbayani), it was funny... oh man, super nostalgia... and I gotta get up in 4 hours, just perfect... heheh...

And to all the non-flips, I do apologize for the weird vids... I'm sure they're the dumbest things you've ever seen, haha...

Until next time, I guess...

Whoop That Trick

Went out again, as per the usual on Wednesdays now. After classes, picked up Krystle, then Valen, then emptied a bit more stuff into my new place. Greek restaurant on 4th, walked around there, went to the beach for perhaps an hour, soooo nice... then watched Hustle & Flow @ Krystle's, goooood movie. Lots of driving, tired am I...

As it turns out, the car I took was needed, and as such I'm sleeping at home tonight. And as I have to be in burnaby at 7:30am on Friday, I'll be staying at home tomorrow night too. But yeah, walking around 4th, hanging out on the beach, close proximity to UBC... HOLY CRAP RICHMOND SEEMS LIKE A DUMP. Comparatively speaking of course. But now you understand my longing to escape this place, at least for a little while...

It's late. I need sleep. I haven't gotten enough. I probably won't be getting enough. I still need to finish that paper, which was already marked and handed back for everyone else in class. I AM A HORRIBLE PERSON. At least in this respect. I don't believe I should take any more arts classes, I take advantage of 'em too much... I feel ethically challenged... or perhaps I should just have no-papers arts classes instead... and maybe Aye Arr Ranty...

Until next time, I guess...

Wow...

But first off, a little comment about the holidays. In that, I never much liked Halloween, for various reasons. And as it's now Nov. 1, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!! Ring dingaling and such... oh, and happy politically-correct holiday greetings for the others, etc etc...

Tomorrow, which is technically today, is a big day. It's the first day, technically, that I'll be moved out. WHOA, I'M A VANCOUVERITE. ...although, as circumstances seem to dictate, I might have to stay home Thursday night. Mostly because of the difficulty in driving to burnaby for a church thing in the morning, and, you know, Ugly Betty... heh... no tv = good, but not for thursdays...

Speaking of church thing, I can't believe I forgot to mention this! My church, and others, are having a huge, HUGE, concert event thing on Saturday, November 25. "One Way". And really, this is a pretty big deal, doing tons of marketing and stuff... tickets are selling now, $15 for adults, $12 for students, and free for under 12. Believe me, considering the preparations, and what's the concert's gonna be like, WELL WORTH IT. I have a picture of the promotional thing, but it's on my sister's comp at the moment, will upload later in the week...

Oh man, and after this concert's done, we have to prepare to play at the Chan centre, for friends of Tom Chan (the owner of the place), for his Christmas party... as he's friend's w/ Joey, and jams w/ him regularly (as Chan's apparently a proficient drummer himself), he asked if we would play at his party... and, it's a HUGE commitment, having to play 2x40min sets... and as we had the other big concert thing, we'd only have about 2 weeks of practice... MY GOODNESS, it'll be tight... but SO MUCH FUN. Playing drums is highly enjoyable.

I'm the most procrastinatory person ever... stupid paper, don't wanna start it, already a week late... and now I'm not even preparing for tomorrow's moving, which I should do... and I was supposed to print out most of my notes too... not doing that then... so lazy am I...

I like guitar. I'm kinda in the mood for doing another recording, this time post a decent one perhaps, but lo and behold, THE STUPID COMPUTER'S NOT READING MY MP3 PLAYER!!! And, for that matter, it's also not reading my memory stick, nor is it reading my sister's camera... leading me to think, something's messed w/ the comp's usb... stupid computer...

I'm gonna stop now before I realize it's 3am. And man, that's not that far away, whoops...

Until next time, I guess...
