...back again.

Majorly procrastinating.

Midterm tomorrow night, haven't studied.
Deadlines for job postings coming up, haven't written cover letters.
HUGE assignment due Thursday, haven't started.
Crazy-important group assignment due Thursday, haven't researched.

And here I am again blogging.

***

Does anyone here watch Dragons Den? If so, do you remember "PeerFX"? If not, here's the clip:

You know that crazy-important group assignment I mentioned above? Yeah, it's on PeerFX. Not only that, but we actually have to work on a whole bunch of business issues the company is facing, and we have to present this to (get this) the OWNER. i.e., Florence from the clip. So yeah, this is like REAL LIFE STUFF here. That's frickin' pressure, trying not to look like an idiot, actually trying to think up ways to help out the company (w/o getting paid, mind you... although... bah, I don't know...). So yeah. Craziness....

Worst thing about it is, though, WE ONLY HAVE TWO DAYS TO DO IT.

Actually, no. The worst part was that for a few hours tonight, the site was offline. That was rather humourous. I guess. Haha and all that.

Ug... time to work.

.......screw it, time for sleep.

now that I've actually seen the clip with sound, I have to say that they shouldn't have gone with the offer. Fact is, whether it's 51% or 60%, the dragons still benefit the same: they get full control of the company. Usually I wouldn't mind this, but I think the idea was a pretty good one; if it sucked, then go for the 200k. Now they're just cannon fodder for high level bureaucrats. You can NOT have both your representatives be soft-spoken. It just doesn't work. Damn kids made a deal with the devil.

True. If three big business people see the profit in it, then there will be others. They could have taken the idea elsewhere.

UPDATE!!!

The Dragons apparently were taking the company in a direction Florence didn't like, and so she secured an Angel Investor to swoop in and save the day.

Basically, the Angel is paying more money for merely 20% ownership. Sweet deal.

Oh, and Florence is the President of PeerFX. Pretty cool.

Saved by the Angel. Told ya nits, can't give up more than 50% of something if it's a good idea. Now what'dya think?

Like we discussed before, and like you agreed, they wouldn't have gotten the $200k if it weren't for the Dragons, and they wouldn't have gotten the Angel/White Knight's attention if it weren't for the Dragons.

Still a good deal.

And also, what's with the aggression, eh?

I don't know where you got the aggression in my comment; I also never agreed that they wouldn't have gotten the $200k if it wasn't for the dragons. I simply said they made a bad choice going with them and should've looked into other resources for the money. But perhaps they wouldn't have been saved by the Angel had it not been for the dragons. Who knows?
